We are a diverse team of engineers, scientists, lawyers and
designers. We are collaborating to build an artificial
intelligence system that augments a lawyer’s skill and reasoning
with curated collections of the most relevant legal authority.
As ROSS’s capabilities evolve we’re going to change
the world by delivering practical assistance to the vast majority
of people in legal jeopardy who do not have meaningful access to
justice.
Today ROSS is a tool for U.S. lawyers. Tomorrow ROSS will be a
tool for lawyers around the world.
Our work is shaped by constant communication with the practicing
lawyers who use ROSS daily. We listen carefully to their feedback
and design every feature to make their legal research more
effective and efficient.
More importantly, we constantly ask lawyers how technology can add
value to their client relationships. We take time to learn new
skills, develop our interests, volunteer in our communities and
share our work.

2014
Andrew, Jimoh and Pargles found ROSS at the University of Toronto.
2015
The founders move to Silicon Valley to participate in the prestigious Y-Combinator startup incubator.
Secure $4.3 million in seed round funding.
2017
ROSS partners with the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence, one of the world’s leading centers for artificial intelligence research.
Founders Jimoh, Andrew, and Pargles named in Forbes 30 Under 30.
ROSS opens R&D office in Toronto.
Secures $8.7 million in series A funding.
2018
Launches revolutionary contextual search technology, enabling lawyers to research 80% faster.
Andrew Arruda is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of ROSS Intelligence and a leader in the legal technology industry. Arruda speaks internationally on the subjects of AI, legal technology, and entrepreneurship and has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, BBC, Wired, CNBC, CBS, Bloomberg, Fortune, Inc., Forbes, TechCrunch, the Washington Post, and the Financial Times. A member of the Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2017, as well as a 2016 TED speaker, Arruda aims to forever change the way legal services are delivered.
Jimoh Ovbiagele is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of ROSS Intelligence. Before ROSS, Jimoh worked on developing autonomous vehicles and software that can understand human language. This work led Jimoh to his initial idea for ROSS. Jimoh speaks around the world and provides commentary in The New York Times, Wired, Forbes, TechCrunch. A member of both the Forbes 30 Under 30 and the American Bar Association's list of Legal Rebels, Jimoh is recognized among the top innovators in technology today.
