Former GE Digital CMO Niloy Sanyal joins ROSS Intelligence
Niloy Sanyal, Former GE Digital (Power) CMO, joins ROSS Intelligence team as an advisor and consulting team member.
APRIL 16, 2018 — ROSS Intelligence, the leading artificial intelligence company in law, announced today that industry leader Niloy Sanyal has joined the team in an advisory capacity and will be working out of the company’s San Francisco headquarters to further enhance its marketing, sales and customer success capabilities.
In addition to Sanyal’s new role with ROSS Intelligence, Sanyal is currently a senior advisor with TPG Capital, an investment company with over 70 billion under management.
In his previous role as CMO at GE Digital (Power), a 3000+ person division of GE that did $1.4B+ in cloud SaaS & PaaS business in 2017, Sanyal and his team led product marketing, demand generation, thought leadership and go-to-market strategy. Sanyal and his team were instrumental in growing their line of business from 0 to $500 million in SaaS booking in 4 years. Before being named CMO, Sanyal was the VP of Market & Commercial Strategy for GE Digital and was responsible for GE’s IoT & AI apps incubation and Predix, GE’s PaaS for the collection and analysis of data from industrial machines, commercial and go-to-market strategy. Sanyal helped incubate 10+ successful “start-ups” and also developed “tenX”, a digital business incubation playbook. tenX became the standard to apply lean start-up & crossing the chasm principles to achieve escape velocity for breakthrough software technology.
“AI is clearly the new growth engine in technology across many industries and it has the potential to redefine the future of work. The legal industry is especially interesting for AI application as the opportunity cost of “getting it wrong” or “getting it late” can be huge for end customers. As a marketer, I am excited to join ROSS in their mission to define future of work for the legal industry. As a strategist, I am excited to join ROSS given their hyper-growth trajectory and their category-leading I.P. in Natural Language Programming and Machine Learning. I am looking forward to bringing my experience in scaling enterprise SaaS business and applying the lessons learned in corporate innovation to help ROSS achieve escape velocity,” said Niloy Sanyal.
“Having Niloy join the ROSS Intelligence team is a force-multiplier. Niloy has incredible experience taking startups to the next level within traditionally conservative industries and markets and we look forward to working with Niloy as ROSS continues to grow and develop into the market leader in legal technology.”
“Our goal since founding ROSS Intelligence was to bring the best minds in the world together to build out the best technology to ensure lawyers can do the best job possible,” said Jimoh Ovbiagele, ROSS Intelligence’s CTO/Cofounder. “Niloy joining the team allows us to continue along our mission-driven goal of having ROSS on the legal team of every lawyer in the world and continue to lead the way as the leader in innovative legal technology.”
Niloy Sanyal joining the ROSS Intelligence team comes on the heels of the company’s recent announcement that industry leading Am Law 100 law firm Jackson Lewis is deploying ROSS Intelligence’s AI platform firm-wide as well as the recent announcement that ROSS Intelligence was joining Google, Uber and NVDIA as a founding partner of the Vector Institute, the world’s leading AI research institute.
“In the immediate term, I am looking forward to helping ROSS amplify their market leadership in a fast-emerging category and collaborate with visionary customers and partners to bring believership in the legal industry that the future of work is here and its happening now,” said Niloy Sanyal.
“We are building a world-class product along with a world class team, I can’t wait to see where things are with ROSS Intelligence in a year, two years and in a decade’s time,” said Andrew Arruda.
